Hello Families & Caretakers,

This past year went by so fast… It is hard to believe the next Track & Field season is around the corner! It is also hard to believe the Roadrunners was established in 1976 and is one of the founding members of the Ventura County Youth Track Conference (VCYTC). What a piece of Ojai history!

The Ojai Roadrunners Board is working hard to put together an incredible season this year. Our goal is to develop and promote athleticism, leadership, and love of the Ojai community through Track & Field. The program is targeted for all youth ages 7 - 18 of any athletic ability.

In addition to the track events (sprints and middle/distance running) that are well established and popular, we also want to make more effort this year to emphasize the field events: Long Jump, High Jump and Shot Put. As such, athletes will be welcome to focus on sprints; middle/distance running or field events depending on their area of interest.

We also want to relay some useful information. Practices will start on February 4, 2025 and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the Nordhoff Track. There may be an optional/limited practice for athletes 11 and older on Wednesdays at the same time. The regular season will run from February 4 - April 26, and the postseason from May 3 - 10. Meets will be held every Saturday starting on March 8 - April 26 (no meet on April 19). There will be many more details coming but we wanted to provide some of these key dates early for your planning purposes.
