"2 Conferences & 2,000 Athletes!":
The Southern California Youth Track & Field Invitational Meet is a dual-conference competition between teams from the Ventura County Youth Track Conference (VCYTC) and our sister league, the Southern California Youth Track & Field Conference (SCYTFC).
The 2019 Invitational is Saturday, April 13 & Sunday, April 14 at Oxnard High School.
Final Deadline: Athletes must sign-up for the 2019 Invitational by MONDAY, April 8 at 5:00 p.m. (Original deadline: Wednesday, March 27 at 8:00 p.m.) Please click button below to register.
The Invitational is one of the largest youth track meets in the country, with 16 teams and over 2,000 athletes estimated to be in attendance!
The meet has an exciting atmosphere and is one of the best opportunities for athletes to improve their performances during the season. The large number of participants means there is always another athlete just ahead or behind to help push athletes to a new personal best.
The Invitational is a great opportunity for athletes to experience the excitement of a large scale meet, and preview what it will be like to compete with other top athletes in their key event(s) at the League Final and Dual-Conference Championship!
The Invitational is for athletes ages 9 and older in 2019. (Not open to athletes ages 8 and younger / Gremlin athletes).
Participation in this meet is optional for Ojai Roadrunners.
Event Limit: Due to the size of the meet, athletes are limited to two events plus a relay.
Please note some events are held Saturday and others on Sunday while other events (i.e. Hurdles, 100 m and 4 x 100 m relay) have Semis on Saturday and Finals on Sunday. Unless your athlete plans to attend both days, be sure to pick events that are held on the same day. Go to Event Schedule.
For those events that semis on Saturday and finals on Sunday, this sometimes causes concern for parents who would like their child to participate on Saturday, but do not want to return on Sunday. It helps to know that making it to the finals is extremely competitive. Generally, only athletes who are already among the top of the VCYTC Results make it to the Sunday Finals.
Go to The League for more information on member teams in the VCYTC and SCYTFC.
Go to Calendar for the schedule of meet dates and other Special Events.
